“What do you mean you don’t want to see my tongue? I think my tongue is GREAT!” (Bettendorf Family Photographer)
Posted on June 23, 2011
Okay. Let me tell you a little story. I had a little girl show up for a family session and insisted on showing her tongue in almost every single photo. After the session, Mom emailed me and asked if we had any photos without Baileigh’s tongue. Even though I told her yes, I was pretty sure I was gonna have to say no. Tongue or no tongue, Baileigh was a cutie pie. I couldn’t narrow these down and decided to show you a whole lot more than normal. Try to look at these without laughing at how cute she is!:

Look at me! I’m actually blogging about another session. Thanks to Nichole getting my head above water, I have time to showcase my clients! Since I’m such high volume, I can’t promise I’ll feature every session I photograph, but I’ll do what I can! Today I’m featuring Kim’s family. She came in with her hubby and their little girl and despite the heat that day, we finished with some cute images for me to play with. The little denim outfit is adorable, and let’s not forget about Mom’s fab color choices. I love the blue, green, coral combination. The look is cool, clean and simple without losing the fun of Summer! Way to go, Mom!

Katie met me for an outdoor engagement session that was fun and romantic to say the very least! She was a little shy in front of the camera, but I love sessions like these where I can capture an adorable couple just being themselves. Sometimes the images that aren’t captured on purpose end up being among the list of favorites. Congratulations Katie and Andy!
Big News!!
Posted on April 26, 2011
I am so excited about the next season for JJP. It’s difficult to juggle being a mom, a wife, and a business owner. My husband KC and I are always looking for ways to maximize every opportunity. We want to please our clients and we also want to have a great balance to our lives. I have such wonderful, amazing clients that made me want to open up more sessions but at the same time maintain my sanity! Lol
Which leads me to my big news…. I’ve hired a summer assistant! This has of course changed my session openings and I’ll be adding sessions, which brings the total number of sessions open May through November to 33. I will be putting all of the dates and times here so that you can see exactly what is available. If anyone has a session scheduled and one of the new dates works better for you, you are more than welcome to change it to an earlier date! Thanks everyone for being so great!
some of the times can be tweaked a little bit, just check with me

Spring booking….
Posted on February 24, 2011
Just a little FYI that March through July are now completely booked, I’m now scheduling for August 2011 and beyond. You’re more than welcome to schedule more than one session at a time, so if you know you’ll be wanting those milestone sessions feel free to schedule them all at once for babies first year, birthdays etc.. I know some of you are frustrated that I’m booking so far in advance and some of you have not been able to get in when you wanted….please keep in mind I’m a one girl show. If you came to me in the past when I had my downtown studio please keep in mind that I had a staff that helped me out a TON behind the scenes. In order to keep my prices as low as they are I’m unable to have a staff now which means I have to keep myself to a strict schedule in order to get your images back to you in a timely manner. I’ve also had a lot of questions about a cancellation list and because a true cancellation is rare (as in basically doesn’t happen) it would take me forever to go through a list of people interested in booking a session when the odds of being able to fill a spot so last minute are slim to none. That would be very time consuming and pretty much a shot in the dark for me so should I ever have an opening I will post it on facebook, first come first serve but again it’s usually very very last minute. Thank you all for understanding and I promise you it KILLS me whenever I have to say no!! And because a post isn’t fun without a picture how about a some of my kids from last fall. I’m FINALLY working on getting them ordered lol!

We’re going back here to summer but I wanted to show off this beautiful family. Sometimes if you’ve never hired a personal photographer before it’s hard to imagine what 30 different images will look like. Our sessions start for 3 people, 30 images on a cd. The more family members you add the more images you’ll be getting on a cd. This will vary family to family but for this family of five here is what their summer sesison looked like and all of the images they received on their cd!

This gorgeous family got rained out big time last week, I didn’t think it was going to ever stop raining that night but rescheduling paid off because it was the most perfect beautiful afternoon. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the images we got during their session. Sweet light, cute kids, great location…nothing makes a photographer happier!

Last Thursday we had our Butterworth Mini sessions which were a big hit! I’ve never offered outdoor mini sessions before but the weather behaved pretty well and we had everyone from families to engaged couples and two boys with dogs. I only have space here to show a couple but there are tons more to see on the facebook fan page!!

Cousins! (Quad City Family Photographer)

Don’t forget to take advantage of the September half session special….book a session back to back with a friend and have your half session outside instead of in the studio! This cute bunch used their special with family and by having the sessions overlapping we did a couple of cousin shots! See lots more of them on the facebook fan page!
