Almost forgot!

Posted on November 20, 2011

Phew…what a crazy weekend!  How many days do they say it takes to make a new habit?  Whatever it is I’m not there yet with this blogging thing…I was in bed drifting off to sleep when I remembered I hadn’t blogged yet!  But…the day isn’t over yet so I decided to randomly choose a folder and I came up with this sweet little guy from the end of Summer :)

Exciting news!!

Posted on October 5, 2011

Hi everyone!  I’m writing with exciting news!  My 2011 calendar is back open!  Due to the high demand that I can’t even try to wrap my head around, I’ve continued to do all that I can to be accommodating.

As of May, my calendar has been booked solid and I’ve been going non-stop ever since.  While brainstorming for 2012, I have decided to make a few changes so that I can be as available as possible while maintaining a highest standard of business at an affordable cost to my clients.  While doing so much planning I realized just how much help I’ve received by hiring an assistant and decided to take that one step further.  By taking full advantage of the help that I have, I have been able to work on a plan to implement our great ideas for next year into this year.  While not everything will be revealed now, I’m starting small and opening the calendar.  I’m also revealing a few other things so keep reading!
More Sessions:
Beginning today, I am scheduling sessions through the end of November.  Because I have a lot booked already, there are a few exceptions to keep in mind.  I’ve listed them below.  Also, be sure to check the website for more scheduling details before calling or emailing the studio!
For October: Evenings and weekends are full, but daytime spots are flexible.  If you have a session booked already, and you would like to move it, just call me!

For November: Evenings are available, but limited.  Weekends are full.  Again, if you have a session booked already, and you would like to move it, just call!

On Location: the weather is quickly getting cold and the time change is just around the corner.  That being said, I can’t schedule anymore outdoor sessions, but the studio is up for grabs.  Remember, its tiny in there…built for babies and kids…so full on family sessions won’t work so well.  However, I am willing to squeeze mom and dad into one or two photos if we can work it out and you don’t mind being cozy!
Package Adjustments:
All full and newborn sessions now include a set of 4×6 prints!

Note: this package adjustment took place beginning July of 2011 for all sessions booked on or after July 1st 2011.

Chrissy came into my studio for a maternity session with her little boy. I was so excited when she brought out the  finger paint and let her son paint on her belly! He was pretty serious about the whole thing, if you notice, with his face very intent on creating such a masterpiece. Mom looks great in everything from white and denim, to pink and blue, or green and brown. I can’t wait to see baby when he gets here and see what we can come up with for his first session!

If you’ve been in for a newborn session and missed out on this deal we don’t want anyone to be left out so when you prepay for your baby’s next milestone session (Full sessions only, six months, one year etc.) you’ll get a book from your newborn session! I can’t wait to see all of these beautiful books!

It’s not every day….

…that I have a pregnant woman wearing a belt!  Seriously?  It took me until we were almost done for it to register that she was wearing a BELT!  Pretty sure I would have been buying my belt from a  men’s “big and tall” store had I worn one lol.  Don’t hate her though she’s very very sweet and I can’t wait to meet her baby girl this spring!!  See more of their session in the February sneak peek album on our facebook fan page!

Breeana (Quad City Maternity Photographer)

Posted on September 21, 2010

So a silly story…Breeana emailed me and mentioned that since she’s due on thanksgiving she wanted to incorporate a stuffed turkey….my mind instantly went to a REAL stuffed turkey and I was trying really hard to think how you could possibly make a stuffed turkey look cool with a pregnant tummy.  After spending way too long thinking about it I had a “duh” moment and realized she meant a stuffed animal turkey.  Hello, cute!  Whew, I was picturing a Donna Reed-esque picture but I prefer the little stuffed one she brought lol!  See her stuffed turkey and more of her session on the facebook fan page!

Go ahead…let’s say it all together now “AWWWWWWWW”.  This sweet princess was a long time in coming and much prayed for addition to this family.  I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve had to cry over her!  For lots more of this beauty check out the facebook fan page!!

I just had to pop over and share a few favorites from this session, such a sweet couple and expecting a baby girl and she’s due on my husband and son’s birthday….July 27th is a good day to have a baby!

Annnnnd another photographer!  Another in my line up of models, I’m in the home stretch now and the display at the OB office at Illini will be going up very soon!  I have been so amazed at all these beautiful pregnant women and have had so much fun coming up with new ideas and they’ve all been so fun to work with!
