Countdown to Christmas Day Nine: Signature Homestyles with Deb Brand
Posted on December 15, 2010
Congrats to yesterday’s winner Delayna McDaniel!
We went local for today’s sponsor! Today’s lucky winner is going to win two frames, one 12×12 and one 6×9 from Signature Homestyles from representative Deb Brand! As soon as she showed me the frames I just loved them! They are made with two pieces of glass so you can put one picture to fill the whole space or a couple of pictures collage style and your wall will show through. Because their website is flash I was unable to grab a picture of the frames. You can see the frames by going to their Fall/Holiday catalog on page 43, it’s frames B & K. You may have seen me use frames during my sessions so along with the frames you’ll also get a mini session showcasing your frames (I’ve already been brainstorming some fun ideas!) and remember you can win this to give as a gift and they can bring in the frame too!
Here is what Deb has to say about Signature Homestyles…Signature Homestyles is a Family, women owned business and has been around for 40 years. We have lots of Quality, Affordable products for Organizing, Decorating, and Entertaining! Deb sent me a fantastic 50% off sales flier that I’m unable to share on here because it’s in PDF form but if you want me to email it to you just send me a quick email at jenniferjphoto@aol.com and I’ll send it to you!
Countdown to Christmas day Eight: Rosebud Lips
Posted on December 14, 2010
Congrats to yesterday’s winner Sarah Cupp!!
Today’s sponsor is Rosebud Lips….oh how I love that name…it makes me think of my girls’ lips when they were babies. Today’s lucky little diva is going to be wearing this Vintage Diva Rosebud Headband. Handpicked by moi….and yes that was VERY hard!
What the owner Lauren has to say: I’m 27, and a dreamer. I am a stay at home mommy in The Woodlands, TX, and love to do what I do. I have always been creative, and learned to sew at a young age. I was taught by my grandmother (Nana) and my mom (Tama). I have always loved fashion, and at a young age moved to New York City. I had the opportunity to intern for designer Cynthia Rowley, which was an amazing experience.
To tell you why I became a designer would have to be because of my sweet memories of being a little girl (about 4) and dancing around in my Nana’s silk bed sheets (my cape), adorned with her costume jewelry. I felt like a princess. My Nana has collected jewelry from my family generations back, and I felt like each piece had a story. This inspired me to use antiques in my pieces. I love textures, antiques, fabric and jewelry. Together, these form my concepts for my collection– Making every woman feel beautiful.
I started the company in 2009, shortly after my mom passed away from Cancer. She was my best friend, and my biggest supporter. She was an artist herself, and she told me to follow my dreams and be creative. This motivated me to leave the marketing/PR world that I worked in for over 5 years. She has changed the course of my life, and I’m so excited for what the future holds.
The name Rosebud Lips was actually the nickname that she gave me when I was little, then my little girl (her grand daughter).
My other passion is to support the mercy project. Please know that each item that is sold through my shop directly benefits Mercy Ministries of America. They provide hope and healing to generations of desperate young women who are seeking freedom from life-controlling problems such as: drug and alcohol addictions; depression; eating disorders; unplanned pregnancy; physical and sexual abuse; self-harm. Go to www.mercyministries.org for more information.
I LOVE that!! You can check out her store HERE

Countdown to Christmas day Seven: Yatoil
Posted on December 13, 2010
Congrats to yesterday’s winner Tricia Sours!
Today’s winner is going to receive a beautiful handmade mini blanket from Yatoil! I absolutely LOVE the patterns that she uses for all of her blankets. When I was pregnant with my kids I didn’t really nest in the normal “cleaning” way (because really nesting or not I loathe cleaning) but I got way obsessed with blankets. Had Yatoil been around when I was pregnant I’d have been in trouble lol! And of course along with the mini blanket if you’re local (or the person you’re giving the blanket to is) you’ll also win a mini session showcasing your baby with the blanket! And I REALLY want to take a picture of baby with these blankets!! Now I realized today when I was putting her info together that I’m not 100% sure if she’s giving a girl or boy blanket. The picture she sent me was of the middle blanket shown (the Isabella) but I’m not sure if that was to show a sample or if it’s the one! So if you have a girl enter with confidence but if you have a boy with no little girls around you maybe check back in later today!
Here is what store owner Monica has to say about herself…As a young child living in my home country dubbed Pais De La Eterna Primavera (Land of Eternal Spring) Guatemala, I got to experience my parents true love for us their 3 children. I am the oldest and only girl in the family; I was 9yrs old and 11yrs old when my brothers were born, as my custom would ordain I did a lot taking care for those boys (now they pay me back with frequent babysitting for my own 3 children) The one memory that truly reminds me of my parents great effort to provide for us is the one of my mom going to the open market and buying huge scraps of towels from a big manufacture, she would then cut them in different sizes, sew them and on the weekends She and I would go to a different town and sell them on the streets. She was brave, strong and teaching me how to be creative.
As I remember where the love of sewing came from, I know She had the same hopes and dreams as I do, stay close to my kids. Nate 11yrs old, Sarah 7yrs old, Lucas 3yrs old.

Merry Christmas to YOU!!
Posted on December 6, 2010
This has been such a fabulous year, I can’t tell you how happy I am to be back in business, I didn’t realize how much I missed photographing kids every day until I had the chance to come back. I was so scared that the market wasn’t ready yet but you’ve all proved to me that quality photographs of your children really ARE important to you! I wanted to do something fun as a way to say thanks and I think I found it! Beginning December 7th there will be a give away EVERY DAY leading up to Christmas Eve!! I went and found lots of fantastic sponsors and I must say we are all very excited about this….and I’m really sad I can’t enter myself lol!!
?
How to enter to win
There will be two ways….the first way is via facebook. Each morning I’ll announce the sponsor and show a picture of the item and you’ll comment on the item to be entered to win. If you’re not on facebook each day the sponsor will be showcased here on the blog and by commenting on that post you’ll be entered to win! Please choose ONE place to enter. AND…if you’re local and it applies to the item being given that day you’ll also win a 15 minute mini session to have pictures of your child modeling the item you won! And the best part is that will apply to whoever is given the item (so if you’re an auntie and you win a tutu to give to your niece for Christmas she can still come in and have her picture taken in it!). You will be given the whole day to enter, the winners will be announced the next morning.
I’m keeping the actual line up a surprise but here is a list of vendors that have some really great things they’ll be giving away….you may want to check some of them out as a few of them will be gift certificates or letting you choose colors etc.

And if none of that says Merry Christmas to you how about a free session? There are two ways to win….the first it to win on one of the days that I’m giving a free session the other is if you had a session with me this year and used one of those pictures on your Christmas card mail me one of your cards and I’ll do a card drawing, whichever card I draw will win a free session!
