This gorgeous family got rained out big time last week, I didn’t think it was going to ever stop raining that night but rescheduling paid off because it was the most perfect beautiful afternoon.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the images we got during their session.  Sweet light, cute kids, great location…nothing makes a photographer happier!

Last Thursday we had our Butterworth Mini sessions which were a big hit!  I’ve never offered outdoor mini sessions before but the weather behaved pretty well and we had everyone from families to engaged couples and two boys with dogs.  I only have space here to show a couple but there are tons more to see on the facebook fan page!!

Meara: 6 Months (Illinois Baby Photographer)

Posted on September 29, 2010

You can’t help but smile when you see a baby in a tutu and according to Meara just wearing a tutu makes you give BIG smiles!!  See more of Meara on the facebook fan page!

Another barn wedding yay!  I was so excited to find out we were visiting another farm.  Brett and Paige are not from the area and we’re driving around looking for a cool spot for pictures when they came across this little farm and went to the door and asked the owners if they could have their pictures taken there.  They were kind enough to say yes and if a red barn doesn’t say Iowa then I don’t know what does!  You can see LOTS more of them on the facebook fan page!

Breeana (Quad City Maternity Photographer)

So a silly story…Breeana emailed me and mentioned that since she’s due on thanksgiving she wanted to incorporate a stuffed turkey….my mind instantly went to a REAL stuffed turkey and I was trying really hard to think how you could possibly make a stuffed turkey look cool with a pregnant tummy.  After spending way too long thinking about it I had a “duh” moment and realized she meant a stuffed animal turkey.  Hello, cute!  Whew, I was picturing a Donna Reed-esque picture but I prefer the little stuffed one she brought lol!  See her stuffed turkey and more of her session on the facebook fan page!

The J Family (Illinois Family Photographer)

Posted on September 21, 2010

The weather is cooling off and it’s been just gorgeous for my outdoor sessions.  I got to spend a little time with this wonderful family last week, here are just a few from their session.  You can see more of them on the facebook fan page!

I had someone ask me about pageant portraits today and I realized I forgot to share this beauty here on the blog!  Briley came in for some head shots for her next pageant and I don’t know about you but I think she has a great shot at winning!!

Miss Sophie came in today to model my newest backdrop.  I like to keep things fresh and usually get a new one every month or so, so if it’s been awhile since you’ve been in check through the recent sessions and you might see something you’d like to try at your next session!

These little guys were SO cute!  They have a family wedding coming up and so grandma brought them in with their little suit!  See more of their sessions on the facebook fan page!
